JIVANA HEYMAN, C-IAYT, eRYT500. Jivana is  the founder of Accessible Yoga, an international non-profit organization dedicated to increasing access to the yoga teachings. Accessible Yoga offers conferences, trainings, an Ambassador program, and an online network dedicated to sharing yoga with every body. 

For over twenty-five years Jivana has specialized in teaching yoga to people with disabilities with an emphasis on sharing yoga philosophy. His passion is making yoga accessible to everyone. Jivana has led more than fifty yoga teacher training programs around the world. In December 2015, Jivana was invited to teach Accessible Yoga at the United Nations in Geneva, and he continues to work toward expanding access to the teachings of yoga. Patrice Priya Wagner, RYT 500, C-IAYT. Co-Editor of this blog, Priya trained in Integral Yoga and has taught people with disabilities since 2008. Priya is on the Board of Directors of Accessible Yoga, and assisted or co-presented in Accessible Yoga’s conferences held in New York City and San Francisco in 2017, and in Santa Barbara in 2015 and 2016. She currently offers classes for people with Multiple Sclerosis in Oakland, California, and brings to her teaching a focus on mindfulness and meditation to develop peace of mind inside and out of the studio. 





NINA ZOLOTOW, RYT500. Co-Editor of this blog and Editor in Chief of the Yoga for Healthy Aging blog, Nina is a yoga writer as well as a certified yoga teacher and a long-time yoga practitioner. She is the co-author with Baxter Bell of Yoga for Healthy Aging: A Guide to Lifelong Well-Being and co-author with Rodney Yee of Yoga: The Poetry of the Body (with its companion 50 Card Practice Deck) and Moving Toward Balance. She is also the author of numerous articles on yoga and alternative medicine.
