Home Practice Club: Accessible Yoga Class with Jivana Heyman

Join Jivana for a mixed mat and chair yoga class focused on overcoming fear and finding peace. This Accessible Yoga class was filmed by Yoga Journal, and is useful for all levels of yoga experience, including beginning yoga practitioners.



JIVANA HEYMAN, C-IAYT, eRYT500. Jivana is the founder of Accessible Yoga, an international non-profit organization dedicated to increasing access to the yoga teachings. Accessible Yoga offers conferences, trainings, an Ambassador program, and an online network dedicated to sharing yoga with every body. 

For over twenty-five years Jivana has specialized in teaching yoga to people with disabilities with an emphasis on sharing yoga philosophy. His passion is making yoga accessible to everyone. Jivana has led more than fifty yoga teacher training programs around the world. In December 2015, Jivana was invited to teach Accessible Yoga at the United Nations in Geneva, and he continues to work toward expanding access to the teachings of yoga.   1. Hi Jivana Heyman! I work as a nutritional therapist in a reputed Rehabilitation centre in Chennai . I went through your video, and I found it very inspiring. Your methodologies with yoga seem to work well for those with physical limitations. I'm impressed to know that you have been asked to teach at the UN. WOW!!
